Volunteering for certain formation flights qualifies pilots for reimbursement of ordinary and necessary expenses incurred while providing piloting services.

Pilots receive reimbursement for eligible expenses once the mission has been completed.

A current Commercial Pilot Certificate is required to be eligible for reimbursement of a volunteer’s flight expenses.
